Product: Anti-Cellular Apoptosis Susceptibility Protein mAb, clone 30F12
Cat. No.: MC-128 (1 mL, lyophilized)
Background:
Cellular apoptosis susceptibility protein, the
product of the CAS gene, is associated with
microtubules and the mitotic spindle. CAS is the
human homologue of the yeast chromosomesegregation
gene, CSE-1. The molecular
mechanism or function by which CAS is
associated with cell proliferation and apoptosis is
not yet fully understood. High expression of
cytoplasmic CAS protein appears to correlate
with proliferation of lymphoid cells. CAS
expression may be useful in the identification of
proliferating cells and in the elucidation of cellular
apoptosis function.
Species Reactivity:
Human
Ig Isotype:
Mouse IgG2a, kappa
Immunogen:
Prokaryotic recombinant protein corresponding to
an internal region of 342 amino acids of the for
immunizations human CAS molecule.
Staining pattern:
Cytoplasmic and nuclear
Format:
1 mL Lyophilized tissue culture supernatant
containing 15 mM sodium azide.
Positive control:
Immunohistochemistry: Tonsil
Western blot: MCF7 cell line
Reconstitution:
Reconstitute with 1 mL sterile distilled water.
Storage:
Unopened lyophilized antibody can be stored at
4°C for short term storage. For long term storage,
store at -20°C. After reconstitution, it is
recommended that aliquots of the antibody be
made and frozen at -20°C (frost-free freezers are
not recommended). Repeated freezing and
thawing must be avoided. Prepare working
dilutions on the day of use.
Applications:
Western blot: Use at a 1:25 - 1:50 dilution.
Immunohistochemistry: Acetone-fixed frozen
sections or paraffin sections. Use at a 1:40 -
1:80 dilution. High temperature antigen
unmaking technique is recommended. Use a
60 minute primary antibody incubation at
25°C. Standard ABC technique.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
Limitations:
For in vitro research use only. Not for use in
diagnostics or in humans.

regarding the use of this product. KAMIYA
